Banks, a former strategic relationship director for a technology firm, won the call centre manager of the year title from the Call Centre Management Association in 2008.

Business adviser Grant Thornton has appointed Scott Moore to develop its financial planning division in Scotland.
Joining from a UK top ten accountancy firm where he worked for 21 years, Moore will be based at the firm's offices in both Edinburgh and Glasgow, working in partnership with its private client team.
He will advise on retirement planning, as well as investment strategies for entrepreneurs and high-net-worth individuals.
Moore said: "Having over two decades of industry experience under my belt, I'm delighted that I can bring my skills set to the Grant Thornton table, whilst being responsible for growing the firm's financial planning division in Scotland."
Heath Lambert, the insurance broker and risk adviser, has strengthened the business development team at its Edinburgh office by appointing Karen McKay and Ian Simpson as sales executives.
McKay joins the company from Insurance Management Group. She aims to develop and grow Heath Lambert's Scottish business, "exploiting growing opportunities in the corporate, commercial and SME sectors".
Simpson will also boost the sales team capabilities. He joined the company from UK General Insurance Group, and will be responsible for developing commercial SME business and client portfolios across Scotland. << Archive
