Nottinghamshire Police were so pleased with her work that they nominated her for the award at a Call Centre Management ceremony recently.
She uses specially adapted equipment to help her to do the job and she had to wait almost a year before she could take 999 calls. She is thought to be the first blind person to be employed in any police force in England and Wales taking the emergency calls.
Special software enables Glover to hear through her headset where she is in the different screens of her computer and listen to the caller too.
