Fusion Contact Centre Services held its own Got Talent Night, and raised almost £900 for the Grace House Children's Hospice Appeal – a project to build a centre for terminally ill youngsters.
More than 120 colleagues from the Hylton Riverside centre supported the event, encouraging the seven acts as they showed off their best singing and dancing skills at Sunderland's Catholic Club.
It was organised by the Sunderland Give committee – set up to help local good causes – and proved to be a great social night.
The winners were Sunderland duo of sales team leader Helen Corner and sales adviser Dean Taylor for their duet of Aerosmith's Don't Want To Miss A Thing.
Lee Swindle came second with his rendition of Spandau Ballet's Through the Barricades. Third were Andy Smith and Angelos Kyriakides who performed an Oasis number.
Seaham School of Technology lent Fusion video recording equipment to film the night. Students will edit the footage as part of a school project.
The talent night took Fusion staff's latest fund-raising for Grace House to almost £3,000.
Six employees recently took part in a charity abseil at the National Glass Centre.
They were Sunderland Contact Centre manager Tony Barrett, sales advisers Lee Swindle, David Stevens and Nicola Proctor, receptionist Lee Padovani and Peterlee Contact Centre sales adviser Lorraine Jefferies.
They raised £1,085 in sponsorship and Fusion donated £1,000 in match funding.
"We've had some great fun with these fund-raising efforts," said Give Committee chairman Tony Barrett.
"The charity abseil was a real achievement for colleagues and the talent night was a huge success and thoroughly enjoyed by everyone who came.
"We've been keen supporters of the Grace House project for some time now and have even more events in the pipeline to help boost their funds in the future.
"It's a much-needed resource and we're keen to do everything we can to support the project."
Karen MacLennan, Grace House regional fund-raiser, said: "We are extremely grateful for the continued support shown to us by Fusion – they have been fantastic.
"Our appeal relies heavily on public donations as no Government funding is available to children's hospices towards the building costs. We are hoping to start building work in the next 12 months."
