An undercover investigator found out that he could get details from 80,000 customers every week. The thief said that he had a British client who regularly buys data on 100,000 people.
When all the evidence had been gathered it was handed in to the Serious Organised Crime Agency who immediately put an investigation in place.
The fraud Prevention Service was shocked at the evidence and said the information being sold was all that a crook needed to empty an account or steal an identity. << Archive
