Ventura takes calls for Red Nose Day 2011‎

Ventura is proud to announce its support for Red Nose Day 2011 this week. On Friday 18th March Red Nose Day is hosting a celebrity filled night of TV on BBC One and over 100 Ventura staff, from Advisor to Manager level, will be giving up their own time to take donations from the public at the company’s Dearne Valley contact centre site in South Yorkshire.
The team will also be letting their hair down and fundraising themselves by doing their very own bush tucker trials, fancy dress and prize drawer raffles, all in the name of charity!
In 2009 over 148 call centres, staffed by a staggering 17,000 wonderful volunteers, jumped at the chance to support Red Nose Day, helping to raise an amazing £82 million total. This year Red Nose Day is set to raise even more cash with the help of the fantastic team from Ventura.
Ian Cherry, Managing Director of Ventura commented: “Our team of exceptional volunteers will donate their spare time to Comic Relief and the vulnerable people it helps here in the UK and in Africa. Spurred on by the nation’s generosity we hope to have a record-breaking and fun-fuelled night!”
On the support from call centres, Helen Puddefoot, Comic Relief’s Head of Campaign Management, said: “Ventura is one of a team of UK call centres taking donations and we’d like to say a massive Thank You to all the staff who will be giving up their precious Friday night. We also want to thank BT which is again providing the infrastructure behind the record-breaking telephony system.”
